Visiting the Iconic Bob Marley Museum

Statue of the late Bob Marley and photos of the I-three’s.

Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945 in St. Anns, Jamaica. He formed the The Wailers in 1965, with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. After eleven studio albums with the Wailers, the band was disbanded, and Marley carried on under the band’s name, adding his wife - Rita Marley, Marcia Griffiths, and Judy Mowatt. The band had great album hits throughout the late seventies, which reached the Top 50 of the Billboard Soul Charts. In 1977, Marley was diagnosed with melanoma, he would later died as a result of illness in 1981.

The Bob Marley Museum was the former home of Marley, it was converted into a museum seven years after his death. Today, it is a major tourist attraction in Kingston, Jamaica.
